Who we are

This website is run by Omar Sharif Training Ltd, based in London. We are the data controller for any personal information you give us through it. Questions about your data go to hello@omarsharif.me.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, organisation, event date, location, audience size, type of event, format, budget and your message. We don't ask for anything else, and you don't need to create an account.

If you email us directly, we keep that email and our reply.

Why we use it

Only to reply to your enquiry, check availability, arrange a call, agree fees and, if you book, plan and deliver the event with you. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps towards a contract when you ask about a booking.

We never sell your information, and we won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.

Who else sees it

A small number of trusted services help us run the site and our inbox:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and receives form submissions
• Google Workspace, which runs our email

Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry doesn't turn into a booking, we delete it within two years. If you book, we keep the booking and invoicing records for six years, because UK tax law requires it.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you won't see a cookie banner. If we add visitor statistics, we'll use a privacy-friendly service that doesn't track you across other websites, and we'll update this notice.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@omarsharif.me and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
